Our Mustang baseball team won 3rd in the M-O Tournament! Congratulations!

Hello FES Families!
As you know we recently hosted an all school live stream event called NED’s Mindset Mission. We trust your student was encouraged by the show which taught about having a positive Mindset for learning and life!
Mindset Mission yo-yos are still available for purchase at school to support the free show and message. We will be selling those Monday at school. If your student purchases a yoyo, here is an important link to help them get off to a good start with proper string length adjustment, http://www.mindsetmission.com/parents.html.
Additionally, here are a couple of our favorite follow up home resources from the Mindset Mission website. You may want to use these with your child as they are designed to go hand in hand with the program.

And don’t forget to ask your student what they learned in the show about having a growth mindset from YET the Yeti, Captain Kindly and during NED’s visit on the spaceship!

Today is the day! We will have our elementary students attending a virtual event from 9:00am - 9:45am! If your child is learning from home at that time, please use the link and password below to join. You are welcome to join, too! Make sure to log in 5 minutes early so we can get started on time.

Mr. Wolfe's art students were asked to create destorted self-portraits last week. Here's a peak at the creative talents of our students.

Beginning next week Frontier students in grades K-11th will take benchmark tests in core subjects: reading, math, and science (4th-11th). We utilize the MAPS Growth platform for these assessments. Children learn better—and faster—when teachers have a clear picture of what students know and how they are growing academically. That’s why a group of educators and
researchers founded NWEA®, a not-for-profit organization that has
created some of the most trusted and reliable assessment solutions available. More than 13 million students in the US and in 140 countries worldwide use MAP® Growth™. If you would like to learn more about this assessment click on the link below to access the NWEA Family Toolkit. https://www.nwea.org/the-map-suite/family-toolkit/

FPS would like to encourage every family to fill out and return their free and reduced lunch applications. We are able to provide all of our students free meals due to these applications. The information you provide will help the school with other federal funding which will benefit all of our students. Please take a few moments to complete the form and return them to any school offices. If you would like a copy sent home with your student, please let one of the school offices know. Thank you! #BETTERTOGETHER

We have had an AC water line break in the high school flooding some classrooms. We WILL have school; we have moved some classes to temporary locations. Repairs have been made, and we are working on the cleanup now.

All of us at Frontier Public Schools want to say "Thank you!" to Evan Wright and the Albertsons Distribution Center of Ponca City for the generous donation of hand sanitizer and sanitation wipes. We greatly appreciate your support and together we can work to keep our students, staff, and community healthy. #BetterTogether

Covid cases are increasing in our area. Here are a few reminders and resources to help answer questions you may have:
We do not offer student Covid testing at school, but we may have at-home tests to send home. Check with Nurse Whitney for availability.
It is best to consult your healthcare provider with questions or concerns.
Health departments and IHS clinics offer free testing, and often have same-day availability.
Free test kits can be ordered at https://www.covid.gov/tests
For isolation/quarantine timelines, we recommend following the CDC Guidelines:
If you were EXPOSED: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/if-you-were-exposed.html
If you have tested POSITIVE: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html

On Friday, August 26 at 9AM, Frontier Elementary School is hosting NED’s Mindset Mission, a live streaming all school event. A world-class performer takes our students on an interactive educational journey filled with storytelling, illusions, yo-yo tricks and humor. NED’s message and memorable friends inspire students, promote academic achievement, and support our school goals: Never give up! Encourage others! Do your best!®
Our school received this program at no-cost because another school
community has paid-it-forward to us. Now it’s our turn—you can help by purchasing a NED-messaged yo-yo and accessories. A yo-yo is both a mindset tool and tangible reminder of NED’s message. While learning to yo, children will make mistakes, try again, and improve. Read more at

The Frontier library is back in full swing with our new librarian, Ms. Lowder. Students have been making bookmarks, learning how to care for library books, and finding their favorite books. We are so thankful for the help of our student assistants who help with reshelving books and checking books in and out. #BetterTogether

Congratulations to our Mustang Baseball Team: Oilton Fall Baseball Invitational Runners-up!

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The yearbook staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we’d like to see them. Our photographers can’t be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have. #BetterTogether
